Together with the association art aspects and supported by Aktion Mensch the movement workshop Abweichen takes place in the last week of July. How does the architecture of the city determine the way we move and act in it? When do we voluntarily deviate, and when does the city force us to deviate? Starting from different artistic forms of expression and tasks, we want to roam parallel existing public spheres together, ask questions about their boundaries and deal with their permeability. Through dance and theatre exercises we will explore body and space together and sharpen our auditory, tactile and visual perception.

We want to make the differences, deviations, divergences dance and keep them constantly in motion.

We work in the studio as well as in public spaces. The work in the studio is primarily intended to enable the participants to take different approaches to movement, text and drama, in order to deal with urban spaces. Manifestations and excursions in public spaces will then be designed and tested with this prerequisite in mind. The focus is on dialogue and joint reflection on one’s own perceptions and experiences, as well as joint movement research, which should lead to a show at the end of the week.
